A list of the best vampire movies with an erotic or sexual subtext. What are the sexiest vampire movies of all time? Of all popular film monsters and villains, vampires are perhaps most inextricably tied with erotica. It's a tradition handed down from the earliest black-and-white and sexy silent vampire films, generally focused on the physical intimacy of the act itself (the biting of the neck and/or wrist) and also the attractiveness and charisma a vampire must possess in order to lure in victims.
Of course, the interest in sexually suggestive films about vampires has massively shot up in recent years due to the massive success of the Twilight series of books and films, all of which are featured on the list. The love triangle of Bella, Edward and Jacob has become a cultural cliche, and inspired numerous other TV shows and films in which traditional folk monsters – vampires, werewolves, witches – become alluring but dangerous sex symbols.
