List RulesVote for the greatest boxers in any weight class based on their performances during the '50s
This list of boxers from the 1950s consists of a number of names that would go on to become some of the greatest boxers of all time. The decade saw the transition from fighters like Willie Pep, Joe Louis, Sandy Saddler, and Ezzard Charles to the rise of Sonny Liston, Joe Brown, Rocky Marciano, and Carmen Basilio. Two of the greatest boxers of all time, Sugar Ray Robinson and Jake LaMotta continued their feud into the '50s. LaMotta later joked with Esquire magazine that he fought Sugar Ray so many time, "it's a wonder I don't have diabetes!"
