Everyone knows that other than the Best Picture winner, the other most memorable thing about the Academy Awards is the host. At the 2016 Oscars, Chris Rock set the stage ablaze with his unique brand of acerbic humor that was mostly pointed at the lack of diversity present in the Oscar nominations. As usual with Oscars jokes, not everyone loved them, and the bummed out reactions of the stars prove it. The Oscars faces on this countdown of the best shade that was thrown at the 2016 Academy Awards is the funniest thing you’re going to see all day.

So much has been said of the bear scenes from The Revenant that you'd think the jokes would be over by now, but after a trailer for the film, the cameras cut to a bear clapping and the film's director obviously didn't find it funny.

He was likely thinking, "What is this? The Golden Globes?"

After a trailer for The Revenant played during the ceremony, the cameras cut to an applauding bear (you know, because that bear scene). Cameras then cut to the film's director, then to Leo, who could not have cared less about the cheap joke.

Maybe you'll have better luck next time, Academy Awards writers!

Jennifer Garner is listed (or ranked) 3 on the list 25 People Who Were NOT Happy at the 2016 Oscars

Poor Jennifer Garner. During the entire Oscars show it seemed like she would have rather been anywhere else. This was no more apparent than when the cameras cut to a man in a bear suit clapping for The Revenant.

It was almost as if Garner wasn't sure how she was supposed to look while on camera and her face went through ALL the emotions: happy, sad, frustrated, hungry, hangry, sleepy, and confused.

Rock's joke about Black teens getting taken out by the police went over about as well as you'd think it would have. It's a sensitive topic and racially-charged jokes can be a challenge, even in a room full of would-be Hollywood liberal types.

However, actress Olivia Munn seemed to take the joke the hardest.
