Here are the 2017 Oscar nominations for Best Picture! With the 89th Academy Awards getting close, it's time to make Oscars predictions and guess which film will win the Academy Award for Best Picture. The following Best Picture nominees were announced on January 24, some obvious and others controversial. Nevertheless, one of these Oscar-nominated films will take home the statue on February 26.

The frontrunner for the Best Picture Oscar race is Damien Chazelle's La La Land. Starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, the romantic musical film set a Golden Globes record, winning all seven awards in its nominated categories, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. With this momentum, La La Land is the clear favorite for the 2017 Oscar Best Picture winner. Close on its heels is Moonlight, which one the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture in the Drama category.
