UPDATE: Head over and make your 2020 NBA Sixth Man of the Year predictions.

Veteran Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams, in his 14th year in the league, was named the 2018-2019 NBA Sixth Man of the Year. In 26.6 minutes per game, Williams averaged 20 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists for a Clippers team that earned the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Williams is a prototypical Sixth Man contender as a backup guard who enters games as a high-volume shooter and was among the favorites for this award at the start of the year, along with players like Will Barton, Eric Gordon, and Terry Rozier. Others in the conversation at the start of the season were Kyle Kuzma, Fred VanVleet, Isaiah Thomas, and Carmelo Anthony.

The three finalists for 2018-19 Sixth Man of the Year were the winner Williams, his Clippers teammate Montrezl Harris, and the Indiana Pacers' Domantas Sabonis.
