The 2020 NBA Coach of the Year predictions start with some of the most familiar names who have been in contention for the award the past few years. This most recent incredible offseason for the NBA helped create significant change in the landscape with new contenders rising and a level playing field for every coach to have high goals.

Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer won the award in 2019 for leading his team to the best record in basketball. Among the other top 2020 Coach of the Year candidates are previous winners like Mike D’Antoni, Steve Kerr, Doc Rivers, and Scott Brooks. San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has won NBA Coach of the Year three times and is tied with Pat Riley and Don Nelson for most awards.
