Weirdly Interesting If You Can't Afford To Buy A House, Just Print One Instead

Mick Jacobs

Buying a home remains one of the most monumental purchases anyone can make, and consumers are doing so less and less home-buying each year. However, according to the video below, one piece of technology could provide an inexpensive way to make new homes: 3D printing.

If you thought 3D printing only created art pieces and furniture, think again. With just $10,000, you can print an entire 800-square-foot house. Considering how expensive houses on the market already are, this is a steal.

It sounds too good to be true, but 3D printed homes are already available in the United States. In the hopefully not-too-distant future, developers desire to create these homes as a way of fighting global homelessness.

Watch the video below to see exactly what it takes to build a house using 3D printing. Maybe down the line if you ever go into the market for a house, you may just get one that came from a printer.
