Power couples of the 1980s had among the wildest and most intriguing stories of them all. Some of these relationships ended in tragedy, while others proved that breaking up isn't always hard to do. • Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are one of Hollywood's longest-lasting couples, making them seem like relationship goals to many fans. Yet the start of their relationship was far from a fairy tale.

While promoting The Fate of the Furious in 2017, Russell finally spilled the beans about their scandalous first date, which took place after the two were cast in the 1984 film Swing Shift. He recalled that Hawn suggested they go to a place that had the same type of swing music as the film:

The Playboy Club was the only place that had that. So we went to the Playboy Club, and I just immediately was having a great time with this girl, Goldie.

The pair then made their way to a home Hawn had purchased to renovate. She didn't have a key yet, though, so they decided to break in. Inside, they had to imagine their own furniture for the empty house, and they began to get more intimate. In the epitome of bad timing, the police came in and interrupted the couple in the midst of their tryst.

But this dynamic duo weren't about to let the awkward moment ruin their night. After everything was sorted out, they ended up getting a hotel room together.

  • There's still much speculation about what the gunshot at the end of Kelly Preston and Charlie Sheen's relationship meant. Sheen has stated he was downstairs making coffee when he heard a gun go off upstairs. At first he thought Preston (who passed in 2020 of breast cancer) had shot herself and that he would be blamed for her death.

But when he came upstairs, he found Preston in the bathroom injured, but still alive. He said she picked up a pair of his pants in the bathroom, and a revolver fell out of the pocket and went off when it hit the ground. The bullet supposedly bounced off the toilet and hit Preston. Sheen said:

For years, people thought... there was this discussion, this conversation about the time that I tried to kill Kelly Preston.

Their relationship, which ran from 1987 to 1990, ended shortly after the incident. But during Sheen's later public backlash, Preston defended her ex, telling People that despite everything, she considered him a great man and a beautiful person.

Kim Basinger and the late Prince were said to be very much in love back in 1989, which was only a year before Basinger met Alec Baldwin. At the time, she was so infatuated with Prince that she moved away from Hollywood to stay with him in Minneapolis, MN.

During their time together, Basinger allegedly made a steamy album (reportedly with Prince) that was never released. Titled Hollywood Affair, it included a track called Color of Sex. Prince's involvement in producing the Basinger album is hotly debated. But Prince also released an extended mix off the album Scandalous, titled Scandalous Sex Suite, where one can supposedly hear the couple together in the background.

While Basinger was smitten with the music icon, her family wasn't pleased. They thought Prince had the actress under a spell, so they showed up at his house when he wasn't home and took Basinger away from him.

Many people want nothing to do with their partner's ex. Yet Jason Momoa has no beef with Lenny Kravitz - his wife Lisa Bonet's ex-husband. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Momoa shared a photo of him and Kravitz together on Instagram, and both of them were wearing matching rings, which Momoa revealed were his present to the singer.

Kravitz also showed his support for Momoa by sharing a post announcing Momoa's Saturday Night Live appearance. Momoa doesn't seem to mind that Kravitz is Bonet's former husband. After all, that doesn't have to get in the way of their bromance.
