  • Alison Brie Didn't Know How To Properly Use A Girdle While Filming 'Mad Men' And Wound Up All Wet

Alison Brie's first big-time show business job came playing Pete Campbell's wife Trudy on the hit AMC series Mad Men. The show takes place during the 1960s, a time when women dressed quite differently. "We wore girdles... it’s basically like biker shorts that go all the way up to our ribs, and it’s, like, time-period appropriate," said Brie during an interview with Justin Long.

The old girdle was built with a convenient tiny hole for women to use when they went to the bathroom. Brie didn't quite grasp the concept.

"I didn’t know, for the first season of Mad Men, that you weren’t really supposed to wear underwear under them, because they are underwear,” admitted Brie. “I rushed to the bathroom ... [I] tried to pull the hole open, but I didn’t pull my underwear to the side so I’m peeing and not hearing it hit the bowl and then I just feel warmth.”

The Glow actress didn't want to cause a stir so she cleaned herself with some toilet paper and went back to work. Thankfully, the show's costume designer noticed something odd going on with the actress. Brie confessed and the costume designer got her a new dry girdle.

  • Jennifer Lawrence Went To Introduce Her Friend To Someone She Thought Was Elizabeth Taylor - Completely Unaware That The Actress Was Dead

Jennifer Lawrence kept this embarrassing story to herself for several years until revealing it for the whole world to hear during a 2015 appearance on The Tonight Show.

The Academy Award-winning actress was at a party when an older woman approached her. "She was being really, really nice, really complimentary, and in my head I just went, 'This is Elizabeth Taylor,' who was dead at the time - who's still dead," said Lawrence. "I didn't know that and so the whole time she's talking to me, I'm like, 'Oh my god, this is Elizabeth Taylor!'"

The total cringe moment happened when Lawrence introduced "Taylor" to one of her friends.

"And my friend walked by and I grabbed her and I was like, 'This is Elizabeth Taylor!' And she was like, 'No, it's not.' And I just took off running," confessed Lawrence.

    Taylor passed in 2011.

  • Well before Josh Hutcherson became a household name playing Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games movies, he was a working child actor.

Hutcherson was just a tween when he worked on The Polar Express alongside two-time Academy Award winner and America's sweetheart Tom Hanks. The time Hutcherson spent with Hanks on the set of the 2004 computer-animated family film was a memorable one for the young actor - perhaps most memorable because of one particularly stinky incident.

Hutcherson confessed the whole embarrassing story in 2017 during an interview on The Late Late Show with James Cordon. "We’re shooting this scene where he’s playing the hobo, and he’s on top of the train, skiing down, and I’m nestled under him, and we’re like, 'Whoa, this is crazy.' I farted," said Hutcherson.

Hanks didn't let Hutcherson off easy. "I farted in the scene, it happened. I did it and instead of playing it cool, Tom Hanks is like, 'Whoa, whoa, oh my God, this kid, what the heck.' My first big movie and I just farted in his face," he admitted. "It was a rite of passage and looking back on it, it was very funny, but at that moment, I thought my face was gonna just start sweating blood."

The fart heard around the world later came up when Hanks was doing an interview with news.com.au. "Well, there were a lot of farts on that movie because those suits were really constricting," responded Hanks. “They kind of pressed you in. So I think they leached the gas out of you."

  • Ben Stiller Yelled 'Cut' When He Flubbed A Line - And Got A Dressing-Down From Steven Spielberg
Photo: Empire of the Sun / Warner Bros.

Ben Stiller was just getting into acting when he landed a small role in Steven Spielberg's 1987 epic Empire of the Sun. Today, Stiller is an accomplished director and producer. In the mid-'80s, he didn't quite understand how filmmaking worked.

"There was a six-minute steadicam shot with a young Christian Bale. He goes outside, all the way through the camp," said Stiller during a 2008 interview. "He walks through the whole barracks and gets to the end... and there's John Malkovich and Joe Pantoliano and me. It's a six-minute shot. And then I screwed up my line. My one little line."

Unfortunately, after Stiller messed up his line, he cursed and cut the scene, waving the other actors off to start over. His reaction made the entire six-minute long take useless, and the whole thing would have to be filmed again. "I hear this huge silence. Steven Spielberg is in another building watching on the monitors and he yells: 'What happened?' I'm like, 'I just yelled cut because I screwed up,' and he's yelling, 'No, no, you never cut!'"

The moment turned Stiller into a puddle of embarrassment. However, Spielberg has since gotten over the actor's flub.

"For years I lived with this shame... but we've laughed about it since because he remembers it too. I was mortified," added the Zoolander star.

  • Jack Gleeson went on to play one of the most vicious villains in television history, King Joffrey from Game of Thrones. Well before he slaughtered his way through Westeros, the Irish actor had a small uncredited role in the 2002 post-apocalyptic science fantasy film Reign of Fire

One day on-set, the young actor needed to use the restroom. However, he was denied access because they were already filming his scene. Despite his best efforts, Gleeson could not hold it in.

"I just kind of had to wet myself," he admitted. "I was like an 8-year-old or 9-year-old kid and I had to piss my pants onset of Reign of Fire."

Thankfully, Gleeson was already a pro.

"I tried to be as cool and collected as possible, and then I acted my socks off. I didn't let it affect my performance," said Gleeson.

  • Paul Rudd Ran Over Jennifer Aniston's Foot With A Segway On The Set Of 'Friends'
    Photo: NBC

Paul Rudd was fairly well known in the comedy world but hadn't yet landed his breakout role as Ant-Man when he started his regular guest stint on Season 9 of Friends. Rudd played Phoebe's (Lisa Kudrow) love interest and eventual husband Mike on the hit comedy series. However, it's possible that one major accident could have cost Rudd his high-profile guest role.

Rudd revealed during a 2019 interview with Howard Stern that Jennifer Aniston had a new segway that she would zip around on because she had a broken foot.

“And her foot had been injured,” Rudd said. “Like, she had, I don’t know, I think she had had a broken foot. Not that she needed a segway to get around, but she was kind of using this thing. And so Matt LeBlanc wanted to try it, and I said, ‘Oh, can I try?’ You know, I’d never been on one.”

Aniston handed over the wheel, then Rudd accidentally ran over her already injured foot.

“And she was holding it as I was standing on it and saying, ‘Okay, just be careful because finding your center of gravity is a challenge,’” Rudd said. “And I said, ‘Okay, alright,’ and then she let go, and I started to lean back or turn, and I turned the thing instead of going straight. And it just ran over her foot. Her bad foot.”

“She went like, ‘Oh!’ and then I could tell... like, immediate shock,” Rudd said. “There was a group of people, including writers and producers, they looked completely freaked out. She said, ‘I’m okay, I’m okay.’”

Thankfully for Rudd, Aniston bucked up and took the pain. “She was in pain... I think it was that default mechanism in her, she’s like, ‘No, no, don’t worry, it’s fine, I’m okay, I’m okay, I just need to sit down for a second,’” Rudd added.

Rudd worried about losing his job. But thankfully for the future Sexiest Man Alive, Aniston's injury nor her reaction were bad.
