List RulesVote up the sweetest family award show date nights!
Stars: They're just like us. They might be talented and famous and uber-attractive, but they still bring their moms as dates to award shows like the Oscars and Golden Globes. We promise you'll find your heart melted by familial support when you check out this list of actors and stars who have asked family members to join them on the red carpet. There's everyone from Leonardo DiCaprio and Jared Leto, who adorably brought their moms with them on their big night, to Angelina Jolie, who grossed out the world when she made out with her brother on the red carpet at the Academy Awards in 2000.
Famous people who take family members to award shows run the gamut from verified mama's boys (like Jeremy Renner) to megastars with relationship troubles (like Russell Brand and Tom Cruise.) They come in all shapes and sizes and thought they aren't always likable, their family members are always adorable (except for, again, Angelina Jolie's brother). We'll leave it up to you to decide whose moms are most adorable, but you can't deny the "aww" factor when professional ladykillers like Leonardo bring their mommies as their #1 girls to black tie affairs like the Oscars.
Sometimes, all a celebrity has to do to win you over is bring his or her parents to a major awards show. Remember how much you hate Lena Dunham? Well, just check out a picture of her and her mom all dolled up and you might think differently. It's also hard to hate on Will Smith when he shows up at places like the VMAs with the entirety of his family in tow (just stay away from Twitter, Jaden).
Looks like Chris Evans is another Hollywood mama's boy. The Captain America star and all-around heartthrob brought his mother Lisa to the Oscars in 2013.

Alec Baldwin's relationship with his daughter hasn't always been strained. In 2013, the Best Actor nominee (for 30 Rock) brought along his daughter Ireland as his date for the Emmys - possibly as an apology for one of the many arguments they've been known to have.
Johansson brought her producer mom Melanie Sloan with her to the 2010 Tonys, where she won Best Actress in a Play for her role in A View from the Bridge. The Avengers star became a mom herself in September 2014, when she and her fiancé, journalist Romain Dauriac, welcomed a daughter named Rose.
J-Law got to have her parents right by her side when she won the Best Actress Oscar in 2013 for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. They should have reminded her to watch her step on the way to the podium.
