Ned served as the King's Hand to Robert Baratheon. He had knowledge that Robert's children with Queen Cersei Lannister were in fact the illegitimate children of Cersei and her twin brother, Jaime. Ned Stark confronted Queen Cersei with this information, and after Robert Baratheon died in a drunken hunting accident, Cersei had Stark arrested on charges of treason. He was eventually executed at the request of the new King Joffrey and his head was placed on a spike for all to see.

He went to King's Landing to confront the crown prince Rhaegar Targaryen for abducting his sister Lyanna and was arrested immediately for plotting to kill Rhaegar. Brandon was forced to watch his father Rickard Stark burn alive while he was placed in a noose, just out of reach of a sword. Brandon reached for the sword, in an attempt to save his father, and he was immediately strangled by the noose around his neck.
Robb Stark was married to Jeyne Westerling and is the eldest child of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully. He appears in several of the books in the Song of Ice and Fire series and he is played by Richard Madden on the Game of Thrones TV Series.
After his father is killed at the request of King Joffrey, Robb is declared "King of the North." He fights in a series of battles in an attempt to become King of the Seven Kingdoms. He is killed, along with his mother and wife, by Walder Frey at the "Red Wedding."
Sansa Stark is the daughter of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully. She appears in several of the Song of Ice and Fire books and is played by Sophie Turner on the HBO show Game of Thrones.
Sansa was betrothed to Joffrey Baratheon. After King Robert dies and Joffrey orders that her father Eddard Stark be killed, Sansa becomes a ward of the Lannisters. Eventually, Sansa's marriage to Joffrey is called off and instead she marries Tyrion Lannister. After Joffrey's death, Sansa flees King's Landing, assisted by Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger). Baelish arranges her marriage to the terrible Ramsay Bolton, who tortures Sansa. Sansa flees Bolton, joins her half-brother Jon Snow, and later executes Ramsay.
