All S&P 500 Companies

A complete list of S&P 500 Companies dated as of March, 2011. Available since 1957, the S&P 500 is a free-float capitalization-weighted index focused primarily on companies headquartered within the United States. It is the second most popular index of large-cap American stocks in the world (the Dow Jones Industrial Average being the most popular). The S&P 500 is maintained by Standard and Poor's, which is itself a division of McGraw-Hill. The index is called the "S&P 500", because it includes 500 companies, all of which can be found on this list.
