All The Swords In The Legend Of Zelda, Ranked

The Legend of Zelda first hit consoles with a golden cartridge in 1986. Since that time, the game has released sequels, prequels, and stand-alone games. There have also been various adaptations in other media forms, including an animated television series, novels, and manga adaptation. Throughout all of these additions to the series, one thing has remained a constant - swords. 

Sure, there are other weapons in the series, lots of weapons, in fact. But when it comes to the Legend of Zelda series, it all started with a simple, wooden sword provided by an old man in a cave who said, "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this." Players traveled across the land of Hyrule and fought all manner of enemies with this basic weapon until they could upgrade to one a bit more durable.

While the original game only featured three playable swords, the many expansions have added to the ever-growing inventory of armaments. Considering all the swords from The Legend of Zelda series, there are quite a few to rank.
