Time moves relentless forward, and progress cannot be stopped. But sometimes, that progress comes at the expense of some beautiful architecture, the kind unlikely ever to be seen again. These gorgeous old buildings served as libraries, churches, office building, and museums, and many were demolished to make room for parking lots and freeways.

Luckily, the folks over at the Reddit forum r/LostArchitecture have taken the time to share photos of buildings that may have been lost to time but should not be forgotten.
