For most people, losing their lives is the worst thing they could possibly imagine - but in anime, there are some things that are worse than that.&nbsp;

It just means that what these characters have endured&nbsp;is so horrible that most people would not be able to bear it.&nbsp;

There are some anime characters who are just straight-up impossible to eliminate. You can chop off their heads, jab them in the heart, or pump them full of toxins, and they just won&#39;t perish. Often, this is because they&#39;re immortal. Maybe they drank an elixir like the immortals did in Baccano! or were merely born indestructible,&nbsp;such as&nbsp;Kei Nagai of Ajin, but no matter what the reason is, loss of life is off the table for these characters.&nbsp;

Not <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/my-top-10-favorite-anime-characters?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">all anime characters</a> you can&#39;t kill are immortal - while the vast majority are, there are a few like Saitama of One-Punch Man, who are so powerful that the idea of someone taking their life seems impossible.&nbsp;

In some cases, the inability to perish is a blessing, but more often than not, it&#39;s a curse. Teachers are very important because not only are they educating the future generations of tomorrow, but they're also responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the child for approximately eight hours. The worst teachers in anime show up in all kinds of different series, from Erased&nbsp;to Card Captor Sakura.&nbsp;Whether these awful teachers are murdering their students, hooking up with their charges, or just being super cavalier about getting their jobs done, a lot of these anime teachers should totally get fired. The abundance of lousy educators really makes you wonder&nbsp;- who is hiring these people in the first place, and why haven't&nbsp;they&nbsp;lost their jobs? Far too many anime series have useless&nbsp;side characters that fans hate and protagonists begrudgingly put with. Many people complain about how they're weak, how they harm the protagonists, or just, you know, serve no purpose at all. These usless sidekicks in anime, at their best, don't really do anything.&nbsp;People can make some really great arguments as to why these characters served some purpose to the plot.&nbsp;What one person thinks is a useless trait or quality might not be seen as useless to another... but seriously, some of these tangential characters could&nbsp;truly get under your skin with their&nbsp;pathetic existence.&nbsp;The side characters&nbsp;listed below are the ones that get the absolute worst complaints, and frankly, most of them deserve it.&nbsp;

Birthdays

Most anime characters have birthdays that are canonically assigned by their creators. In some cases, that birthday will actually come up in the show itself, but most of the time, it&#39;s part of the supplementary&nbsp;information that can be found in guidebooks, official websites, and series&#39; Wikia&nbsp;pages. While character birthdays don&#39;t usually make a huge difference in terms of story or character development, it&#39;s still a fun bit of trivia.

Even more fun&nbsp;is seeing which characters - some from wildly different series - have the same birthdays. There are only 365 days in the year, and there are thousands of characters, so it stands to reason that there are plenty of anime characters with the same birthday. Umetarou Nozaki&nbsp;from&nbsp;Monthly Girls&#39; Nozaki-kun&nbsp;and Shinji Ikari&nbsp;from <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/list/best-neon-genesis-evangelion-quotes/ranker-anime?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">Neon Genesis Evangelion</a>&nbsp;have little in common besides being teenage boys, and both have even less in common with Shinobu Sensui from <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/list/best-yu-yu-hakusho-quotes/ranker-anime?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">Yu Yu Hakusho</a> -&nbsp;but they were all born on June 6th.

The &quot;crazy/terrible girlfriend&quot; trope appears everywhere, including anime; while certainly an overused, and many times sexist, descriptor, such a characterization does feel appropriate when describing the worst anime girlfriends of all time. Given the number of <a href="https://www.ranker.com/list/disturbing-romantic-anime-relationships/nida-sea" target="_blank">dysfunctional anime relationships</a> out there, it stands to reason a few terrible anime girlfriends are a part of them. While everyone follows different criteria for what they want from a partner, most&nbsp;agree that a few things are of critical importance when it comes to&nbsp;showing basic respect for your partner as a human being. Not manipulating them into doing things they don't want to do. Not cheating on them. Not stalking or assaulting them. Not murdering them.This an an extremely low bar, but sadly, there are plenty of anime girlfriends who can't manage even that much. Some are murderous stalkers like Yuno Gasai, and others are prone to physical violence&nbsp;like Naru Narusegawa.&nbsp;No matter how cute they appear, you definitely would not want any of these ladies as your girlfriend or your <a href="https://www.ranker.com/list/anime-characters-you-want-to-marry/ranker-anime" target="_blank">wife</a>. That said, don't think that anime only makes the ladies look bad: plenty of <a href="https://www.ranker.com/list/anime-protagonists-who-should-not-have-a-harem/anna-lindwasser" target="_blank">boring anime men</a> out there make for equally terrible boyfriends, and honestly, they're probably the reason why all these anime girlfriends are acting out.

Anime characters don't always look their age. Sometimes it's a case of early puberty, as is true for&nbsp;Hotaru Ichijō of Non Non Biyori.&nbsp;Other times, puberty shows up later than it should, as is Honey-senpai's problem in&nbsp;Ouran Host Club. Every so often, a character's appearance is utterly inexplicable. In&nbsp;Masamune-kun's&nbsp;Revenge,&nbsp;Kinue&nbsp;Hayase&nbsp;is the&nbsp;42-year-old&nbsp;mother of two teenagers, but she looks exactly like <a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/list/little-girl-movies/ranker-film?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">a little girl</a>.&nbsp;Excluding characters who are thousands of years old,&nbsp;here are a selection of anime&nbsp;characters whose physical appearances don't match up with their age.&nbsp;

For a genre often associated with beloved heroes like Sailor Moon or Goku, anime often makes their protagonists commit horrible atrocities. Unlike <a href="https://www.ranker.com/list/anime-with-villain-protagonists/anna-lindwasser" target="_blank">anime that follow villains</a>, anime with complicated heroes do not necessarily set out to create sympathetic characters; some of these &quot;heroes&quot; are just not great people.&nbsp;

Some&nbsp;anime heroes who did something bad have one or two minor transgressions on their rap sheet. Joey Wheeler&nbsp;of&nbsp;Yu-Gi-Oh!&nbsp;tormented Yugi for about&nbsp;two episodes, but he gets&nbsp;his act together and becomes a good friend. Other <a href="https://www.ranker.com/list/morally-ambiguous-anime-characters/anna-lindwasser" target="_blank">morally ambiguous</a> anime good guys commit more serious misdeeds, ones that can be hard to overlook. Guts of&nbsp;Berserk&nbsp;slays hundreds of people, eventually betraying&nbsp;a person he loves in one of the most egregious ways possible.

Anime protagonists&nbsp;who do terrible things can sometimes be hard to root for, but sometimes&nbsp;their actions serve to tell something larger about the storyline. However, that only provides justification for a few of these immoral anime heroes.

Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi Hatake is a fictional character in the Naruto manga and anime series created by Masashi Kishimoto. Kishimoto originally planned to introduce Kakashi in the manga to the series' titular character, Naruto Uzumaki, early on, but pushed back this meeting so that Naruto's teammates could be better developed.
In the story, Kakashi is the leader and teacher of Team 7, consisting of the series' primary characters, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki. He is initially portrayed as a detached and apathetic figure, but as the series progresses, his loyalty to his friends and students becomes increasingly apparent. Kakashi's past has been extensively explored in the series, resulting in a gaiden being devoted to his past experiences. Kakashi has appeared in several pieces of Naruto media, including six of the nine featured films in the series, all of the original video animations, and all of the video games.
Numerous anime and manga publications have praised and criticized Kakashi's character. Although he has been noted to be an echo of similar detached shōnen manga characters, the duality of Kakashi's apathetic and serious sides have been praised.

Itachi Uchiha is a fictional character in the Naruto manga and anime series created by Masashi Kishimoto. Sasuke Uchiha is a fictional character from the Naruto manga and anime series created by Masashi Kishimoto.
