15 Anime Characters Who Have The Power To Destroy The World

List Rules

Vote up the anime characters with the most devastating powers.

Some anime characters can throw down in a fight, but others are packing so much raw power that they could literally destroy the world in one shot.

This doesn't necessarily mean that they're good at fighting. Zeno, who is the ruler of the Dragon Ball multiverse and can erase anyone or anything from existence with no effort at all, isn't much of a fighter. But others are immensely powerful in battle - Saitama from One-Punch Man could destroy the world, but it would have to be via his fists.

No matter how these anime characters with the power to destroy the world operate, you do not want to get on their bad side.

Saitama is well-known for his ability to destroy literally anything with a single punch. Yes, anything. This means that if he wanted to, he could wreck the entire planet in one shot.

Luckily for everyone else, he has no desire to do anything like that. He's a chill, laid-back guy who would much rather help people than hurt them. Destroying the world wouldn't benefit him in any way - but let's just hope that no one ever pushes him to change his mind.

  • Koro-sensei - 'Assassination Classroom'

In Koro-sensei's case, it's not so much that he could destroy the world - it's that if he stays alive for too long, he'll have no choice. Once an assassin known as The Reaper, he ends up in the custody of an unethical scientist who alters his body with anti-matter. After an anti-matter infused mouse is sent to moon and ends up blowing a giant hole in it, it becomes clear that the same is going to happen to the Reaper, and that the resulting explosion will spell the end of the world.

Due to the influence of the scientist's fiance, who was once a middle school teacher, the Reaper becomes Koro-sensei - a middle school teacher trying to help a group of kids learn how to assassinate him before it's too late.

Kusuo Saiki - 'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.'

Kusuo Saiki has a ridiculous array of psychic powers that range from completely useless ones like making coffee taste extremely bitter to dangerous ones like straight up destroying the moon. His powers increase with every year, and he doesn't always have perfect control over them. In fact, unless he constantly wears limiter devices, they go haywire.

He was strong enough to destroy the moon when he was only eleven years old, so it's kind of terrifying to think about what he could do as a teenager. Luckily, he's just trying to lead a peaceful life and has no desire to seriously harm anyone. But if he loses his limiter devices, all bets are off.

    Zeno - 'Dragon Ball Super'

As the supreme ruler of the multiverse, Zeno is indisputably the strongest character in the world of Dragon Ball. Yes, he's even stronger than Goku. This isn't because of his fighting prowess - he actually isn't very good at fighting, and never does it. It's because he's capable of erasing anything he wants from existence. This ranges from individual humans to entire universes. He doesn't have to put any effort into doing so - it's as easy as blinking.

Besides that, Zeno is immortal. That means that he can't be stopped from using his powers no matter how strong his opponent might be.

When Puella Magi Madoka Magica begins, Madoka doesn't have any special powers - she's just a regular girl. She spends most of the series feeling reluctant to get a wish granted and become a magical girl - she isn't sure that she wants anything badly enough to take a risk like that.

But after seeing her friends suffer from the consequences of their wishes and from the dangers of fighting witches, and after learning the terrifying mechanisms behind their magic, she wishes to become a goddess. As a goddess, she's able to make it so that all witches, past, present and future, will cease to exist. With that much power in hand, she could easily use it for more nefarious means.
