Some are monsters, some are mannerly, and some occupy the middle of the road. For most people, losing their lives is the worst thing they could possibly imagine - but in anime, there are some things that are worse than that.&nbsp;

Anime characters who suffer a fate worse than death are sometimes immortal, like Joseph from&nbsp;<a class="edS-cl" href="https://www.ranker.com/list/why-you-should-watch-ancient-magus-bride/anna-lindwasser?ref=internalCrossLinking_keyword">The Ancient Magus</a> Bride&nbsp;or Hidan from&nbsp;Naruto.&nbsp;These characters must endure situations that would destroy anyone else, for eternity. It just means that what these characters have endured&nbsp;is so horrible that most people would not be able to bear it.&nbsp;

Monkey D. "Straw Hat" Luffy is a fictional character and the protagonist of the One Piece franchise created by Eiichiro Oda. Winry Rockbell

Winry Rockbell is a fictional character from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga series and its adaptations created by Hiromu Arakawa. Winry is a 15-16 year old mechanic who often spends time with the central characters, brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric, who are childhood friends of hers. Specializing in mechanical repair, specifically prostheses called automail, Winry services Ed's replacement arm and leg. Originally meant to be introduced in the series' first chapters due to its lack of female characters, some of Winry's traits are based on Arakawa's own life. In the first anime adaptation, Winry is voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi in Japanese and by Caitlin Glass in the English version. Rukia Kuchiki is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Bleach created by Tite Kubo. In the series, Kuchiki is a Soul Reaper in charge of slaying evil spirits known as Hollows. At the beginning, after a brief meeting with the main protagonist of the series, Ichigo Kurosaki, who can see supernatural beings such as Soul Reapers, she is forced to give him her powers in order to fulfill her duties as a Soul Reaper. Kuchiki has appeared in several other pieces of Bleach media, including the four featured films in the series, the two original video animations, and several video games.
Kuchiki was the first character of the series created by Kubo, her design being the one he decided to use for all the other Soul Reapers. Reaction to her character is generally positive. Her differences from typical shōnen heroines is praised, as is her interaction with other characters. Additionally, she usually ranks second in Weekly Shōnen Jump's Bleach popularity polls, and is consistently the most popular female character in those polls. Several pieces of merchandise have been released in Rukia's likeness, including a plush doll and a figurine.

Usagi Tsukino, better known as Sailor Moon, is a fictional superheroine who is also the protagonist and titular character in the Sailor Moon manga series written by Naoko Takeuchi. She is introduced in chapter #1, "Usagi - Sailor Moon", originally published in Japan's Nakayoshi on December 28, 1991, as a carefree schoolgirl who can transform into Sailor Moon, the de facto leader of the Sailor Soldiers. Roronoa Zoro, nicknamed "Pirate Hunter" Zoro, is a fictional character in the One Piece franchise created by Eiichiro Oda.
He is one of the two swordsmen of the Straw Hat Pirates, the other being Brook. In the story, Zoro is the first to join Monkey D. Luffy after he is saved from being executed at the Marine Base. As a native to the East Blue, he came from the town known as Shimotsuki, where he trained in a dojo. He is an expert swordsman who uses three swords for his Santōryū, but is also capable of the one and two-sword styles. He seems to be more comfortable and powerful using three swords, but he also uses one sword or two swords against weaker enemies. He usually keeps his wadou ichimonji on his mouth when he performs santoryuu. Before fighting Ryumma he used to use his wadou ichimonji as his first choice for one sword style but after the fight and especially after the two-year timeskip, he uses black sword Shisui as his first choice of one sword style.
