For many male anime fans, the thought of marrying your favorite anime woman is kind of the ultimate fantasy. For this poll we're asking you a simple question: which female anime character would you want as your wife? We're ranking the best potential anime wives, with the only criteria being that you think they would make a good life partner. What kind of criteria would you look for when choosing which female anime character you would marry? You might want a woman like Misa Amane (Death Note) or Orihime Inoue (Bleach) who will worship the ground you walk on for the rest of your life. Then again you might want a strong, independent, beautiful woman like Erza Scarlet, who can take care of you and protect you.

Winry Rockbell is a fictional character from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga series and its adaptations created by Hiromu Arakawa. Winry is a 15-16 year old mechanic who often spends time with the central characters, brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric, who are childhood friends of hers. Specializing in mechanical repair, specifically prostheses called automail, Winry services Ed's replacement arm and leg. Originally meant to be introduced in the series' first chapters due to its lack of female characters, some of Winry's traits are based on Arakawa's own life.
