The 13 Best Anime Like Beyblade Burst

Let's go over the best anime recommendations for Beyblade Burst fans to watch after they finish the series, ranked by your votes. On the surface, Beyblade Burst may seem like a silly show about kids fighting with tops. However, Beyblade Burst never lets its toy-ish structure get in the way of fun. It knows how to stage surprisingly entertaining battles with its dazzling tops, and create compelling stories about the kids who compete with them.

If you love watching Beyblade Burst and want more of the same, you can't go wrong with shows like Pokémon Sun and Moon or Digimon Adventure. Other anime like Beyblade Burst pack the same punch, but in a completely different way. Bakugan Battle Brawlers is another good anime similar to Beyblade Burst - the series follows Dan Kuso and his friends as they play the game of Bakugan to save their dimension.

Vote up the Beyblade Burst recommendations you would most want other fans to check out!

  • Pokémon might be the most obvious recommendation, but that's for good reason. Both Pokémon and Beyblade Burst are about kids competing in a tournament with their "toys." Instead of tops, Pokémon has pocket monsters that all kids want to capture and master. In the latest series, Pokémon Sun and Moon, Ash Ketchum is attending a Pokémon academy with his little buddy Pikachu.

Yu-Gi-Oh!, like Beyblade Burst, may seem like an anime that only cares about selling toys, but it's actually something more. The trading cards the show is centered around are just a medium to depict amazing strategic battles from Yugi Mutou and the ancient Egyptian spirit that resides within him. It's darker than Beyblade Burst, but nothing on a TV-MA level. Think Naruto-like content. The characters on Yu-Gi-Oh! are compelling, and the Duel Monster game itself is really cool to watch.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers feels inspired by the toy-ish aspect of Beyblade Burst and the larger-than-life battles of Yu-Gi-Oh! It's about a group of kids that discover these magical objects called Bakugan and use them to play a game. They also use them to save the Earth from interdimensional evil. It's younger-skewing series for sure, but one that's still fun to watch

  • While Digimon may appear to be similar to Pokémon, the two are really nothing alike. Digimon is easily more dramatic and story-driven. The original series followed a great cast of kids landing on a strange island and befriending the digital monsters known as Digimon, in order to find their way home. What's remarkable is that despite so many new iterations of the show, Digimon never lost track of its original cast. The recent films have them grown up and dealing with new threats from the digital world. If you're looking for a more story-driven alternative to Beyblade Burst, Digimon is your show.
