Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, a lot of people are finding themselves stuck indoors with a whole lot of free time on their hands. Even those of us who are busier than ever have few means of entertainment besides the ones that can be found at home. If you're an anime fan, chances are high that you're turning to anime to keep yourself busy during this unprecedented time. Because there's' so much anime out there, it can be hard to figure out what to watch. With that in mind, here's a list of random anime to watch during the quarantine.

One great show to check out is One Piece, a fantastic series that many people have found too intimidatingly long to check out until now. You can also try Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken, a fabulous new anime that will encourage you to bust out a creative project alongside your anime viewing. Looking for something old school? Try Maison Ikkoku, a romance anime that will make your heart flutter, or Eureka 7, a mecha anime that will keep you excited. Want to be reminded of the awesome power of science and your own immune system? Try Dr. Stone or Cells At Work. Want a laugh? The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

No matter what your mood, there's something on this list to help you get through social distancing.

If you want to see some of the most epic fights in shonen history, you have to watch Yu Yu Hakusho. This anime, which follows Yusuke Urameshi in his work as a "Spirit Detective" - a title that mostly means fighting demons alongside his friends. Some of the fights are silly, while others are so intense they'll have you swearing that they're literally taking place in your living room. Whether you've seen the show and need a nostalgia boost or you're checking it out for the first time, you won't regret watching this amazing show.

  • Dr. Stone, a show about what happens when all of humanity is mysteriously encased in stone for thousands of years, is one of the best anime to come out of 2019. Why should you watch it during the quarantine? Because of its unrelentingly positive take on the power of science - watching Senku solve problems with the power of science makes it easy to feel hopeful that real world scientists will get COVID-19 under control.

  • Cells at Work! is a totally charming series about life inside the human body, with a special focus on the immune system. If you're feeling nervous about getting coronavirus, it might be helpful to imagine your health in the hands of White Blood Cell, Killer T Cell, Mast Cell, and the show's other fun and competent characters. That said, if health-related content just makes you more anxious, you can totally skip this one, too.

Isekai is one of the most popular genre in recent years, so we're recommending one of the best. Re:Zero's next season will be delayed due to COVID-19, so now's your chance to catch up before that happens. Even if you've already seen it, you might still want to check out the new directors cut, which has a couple of all-new scenes. So, what's it about? A boy named Natsuki Subaru who finds himself in a fantasy world with the power to return to a set point when he loses his life. It's simultaneously hilarious and emotionally devastating, and it'll definitely keep your attention.
