    Check Your Trash

    From Redditor /u/the_tza

Story from the other day: Had a tenant call and complain that their garbage disposal was not working and how frustrated they were that it keeps breaking.

Maintenance showed up and pulled 4 hypodermic needles out of the disposal.

    Double Trouble

    From Redditor /u/Back2Bach

My parents rented an apartment at a very reasonable rate to an electrician in return for him doing minor maintenance.

The guy somehow rewired the incoming electricity so that it came from our parents' electric meter instead of his. Their bill [went up] over double (almost triple!) - and he claimed to know nothing about it.

    When Is It Due Again?

    From Redditor /u/the_tza

The worst part to me is when renters ask, on a monthly basis, when rent is due, how much their rent is, and then arguing the balance saying that they've never paid that much for rent.

Yes, you've paid the same thing for the past 7 months!!!

Had two duplex college rentals. Had 4 groups of girls. They called me once a week to change light bulbs (constantly), turn off the smoke alarm, work the thermostat, etc... It was unbelievable.

I sold the houses after their lease was up.
