With a background in fine art and a passion for gritty streets, Ryan Thomas Monahan creates truly stunning miniature art sculptures. A tattoo artist turned graphic designer, Monahan quit his day job to follow his true passion.

The miniature urban sculptures he creates feature neighborhoods in New York City and Chicago, in all of their grimy reality. The details that Monahan places in these miniatures are truly stunning. Look closely, and you'll see everything from minute pieces of trash to nearly-microscopic stickers on doors.

Monahan creates his pieces in his studio in the Chicago suburbs, posts them on his popular Instagram page, and sells them to collectors all around the world. His painstaking work finds the unexpected beauty in locations that are frequently overlooked.
