The 2017 World Series champions, the Houston Astros, are in real hot water after an investigation conducted by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred found them guilty of stealing pitching signs from other teams in the 2017-2018 MLB seasons. They are facing what some call the worst punishment in baseball history. The Astros were fined 5 million dollars, their managers were suspended for the year and they have lost their 1st and 2nd round draft picks for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The investigation triggered a string of firings - Astros fired general manager Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch, the Boston Red Sox fired Alex Cora, and the New York Mets fired Carlos Beltran, who were all involved in the Astros cheating scandal. On top of all this, a whistleblower claimed that a few Astros players were concealing an electric buzzer underneath their jerseys to help them read pitches. This whole scandal has rocked the MLB and sparked lots of talk among fans, players, and sports commentators. Here are a few Twitter reactions to the Astros cheating scandal to help us all make sense of the mess.

A Video Of Altuve Clutching His Jersey Adds To This Conspiracy
This is video after Altuve hit the walkoff HR against Chapman in Game 6 of the ALCS. He approaches home plate adamantly telling his teammates not to rip off his jersey and he ran straight to the tunnel instead of celebrating. He was hiding a buzzer— Jonathon Shipman (@Shippyfunsports) January 16, 2020
