Several famous NBA players, NFL stars, and boxers are also rappers. Some of these athletes released popular albums, while others recorded tracks that never saw a proper release. One famous athlete even rapped in a Taco Bell commercial. 

Who is the most famous athlete who is a rapper? Kobe Bryant tops our list. In the late-1990s, Kobe Bryant released a rap album entitled “K.O.B.E.” Shaquille O'Neal released four rap albums in the 1990s. His debut "Shaq Diesel" was certified platinum in the U.S. Charles Barkley rapped on a Taco Bell commercial in 2010.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. released a rap song entitled "Yep" in 2007. He was later sued by Anthony Lawrence Dash for using beats written by Dash on the song without his permission. Before becoming a hip-hop mogul, Master P had contracts with two NBA teams, the Charlotte Hornets in 1998 and the Toronto Raptors in 1999. Cedric Ceballos contributed the rap track "Flow On" on the 1994 album "B-Ball's Best Kept Secret." Warren G also appeared on the track.
