Do you think that you know everything that there is to know about the Attack on Titan characters? Even if you're a super fan of Hajime Isayama's hit series, there are probably a few bits of trivia that you missed.
What are some things you didn't know about Attack on Titan characters? Fan favorite Levi Ackerman once dreamed of opening up a tea shop - also, he only sleeps about two or three hours every night thanks to insomnia. Here's something a little more meta - Annie Leonhardt's hairstyle was based on a paparazzi pic of Canadian musician Avril Lavigne.
Warning: There are spoilers ahead if you're not caught up with the latest season of the anime!
According to Isayama, Levi is great at holding his liquor - in fact, he's so good it that he doesn't even get drunk in the first place. Sorry, viewers who were hoping to see the fastidious captain get sloshed!
Levi suffers from insomnia, and only sleeps about two or three hours a night as a result. It's unclear whether this is because of his intense job, his history of trauma, or just an issue that would happen no matter the circumstances. Either way, it definitely explains why he's so grouchy.
There's more to Levi's life goals than just slaying Titans - at one point, he apparently wanted to open up a tea shop. While that's extremely different from what he does now, it's actually not that hard to imagine. Would you drink his tea?
According to Levi's expert judgment on the subject, Eren Jaeger is the squad member with the most formidable cleaning skills. That's good, because Levi has plenty of other things to yell at him about, and if he had to add messiness to the mix he'd never be able to stop yelling.

Mikasa Is Named After A Famous Japanese Battleship
While the literal translation of the name Mikasa is "three bamboo hats," there's also another meaning behind her name. Mikasa is a famous Japanese pre-dreadnought battleship built in the late 1890s. According to Isayama, he chose this name for the character due to his belief that a series will become successful if you name the female characters after famous warships.
Isayama originally planned for Eren to know about his Titan shifting ability from the beginning, but ultimately scrapped the idea. In a 2013 interview with Otomedia, his editor said the following:
"...I think, because he knew he could become a Titan, he showed very different depths than from what he does now. However, because the current situation where he doesn’t know anything but still tries to move forward even while running into setback after setback seemed more Eren-like, we changed it to what it is now."
