List Rules Vote up the MCU heroes and villains that would be a perfect fit on 'Game of Thrones.'

WARNING: Spoilers for both Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones.

The two most dominant pop cultural forces in film and television came to an end in 2019. Although both Avengers and Game of Thrones will be back in prequels and sequels, they each reached massive culminations, and the successes and disappointments of both franchises have been on everyone's mind.

The MCU and Game of Thrones are quite different from each other. The MCU is all about hope, optimism, and fun, even in the face of apocalyptic forces. Game of Thrones, on the other hand, is all about the ways evil and good can blur together. It is difficult to imagine how MCU characters would respond to being dropped into the Game of Thrones universe.

When matching up the Avengers to the best Game of Thrones characters, you have to question not the actor but which character from the MCU is most similar to which person from Game of Thrones according to how they make decisions and how they view their respective worlds.

The Ancient One - The Three-Eyed Raven

If Doctor Strange is Bran, the Ancient One must be the Three-Eyed Raven. Both are ancient beings who know more than they let on, and both are responsible for training the next generation of mystics.

The Ancient One lays down her life to protect her protege, just as the Three-Eyed Raven does when the wights come after Bran.

Thanos - The Night King

Both Thanos and the Night King are powerful, existential threats that are at first barely teased, but soon come to dominate the narrative.

Like the Night King, Thanos is a powerful force with a destructive mission and he cannot be reasoned with. The only option when facing both Thanos and the Night King is to defeat them and their armies.

Black Widow - Arya Stark

Natasha Romanoff is a highly trained warrior who is skilled enough to face beings far stronger and more powerful than she is. Romanoff has a dark history and has taken more than her fair share of lives over the years. In the third phase of the MCU, she is driven by revenge, and her final act of bravery allows her team to defeat Thanos.

Arya Stark is also a highly trained warrior who is skilled enough to face beings far stronger and more powerful than she is. Stark has a dark history and has taken more than her fair share of lives over the years. Throughout Game of Thrones, she is driven by revenge and a climactic act of bravery allows her to defeat the Night King.

Okoye - Grey Worm

A ruler is only as powerful as the commander of their forces. Both Okoye and Grey Worm are peerless warriors, and they are fiercely loyal to their monarch. Where Grey Worm is fanatically faithful and consumed by rage, Okoye is capable of contradicting T'Challa and often mocks her king with good-natured intentions.

They are also both survivors. Grey Worm outlasts his queen and holds a large amount of power by the end of the series. Okoye makes it through the Snap and seems to lead Wakanda in T'Challa's absence.
