Khiladi was the first installment in the Khiladi which had Khiladi in the title and Akshay Kumar in the leading role. It was followed by Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Mr. and Mrs. Khiladi, International Khiladi, Khiladi 420 and Khiladi 786. Khiladi was critically and commercially success at the box-office and the tenth highest grossing film of 1992.
