The Worst Comic Book Movie Posters

Movie Poster making is a fine art. The poster has so many more jobs than most people realize. It has to sell the movie without the benefit of a trailer. It has to present the cast, pitch what the films about, and show some action all while not spoiling too much. And we all know with Superhero's everyone has a very specific take on his or her favorite hero.

Sometimes a poster does NOT fulfill it's end of the bargain. Sometimes the studios think that just because the film has a built in audience that they don't need to put too much work into the poster (we're looking at you Marvel). Usually this results in heroes vaguely standing around, as if to say "hey look I'm this character, as played by this actor, see my costume" Or worst yet theres the photoshop a series of heads around an explosion or action set piece. Marvel's go to is a mix of both, photoshopping disjointed floating heads (of various sizes, sometimes depth appropriate) around a larger person of action set piece. Almost every final poster is some variation of that theme, which is a shame because they make billions of dollars. With a B.
