Though film is a largely visual medium - reliant on the image to convey important information, as well as capture and maintain the attention of the viewer - sound often plays an equal, if not always as obvious, role in a given movie. Songs in particular often become indelibly associated with particular scenes, to such an extent it becomes almost impossible to think of the two apart from one another.
