With the success of country oriented music festivals across the U.S., the latest one to pop up is in, of all places, New York City. Taking place on Randall's Island - the site of many great concerts over the years - on June 26-28, 2015, the first edition of FarmBorough will feature some of the biggest names in country music. Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, and Luke Bryan are the headliners and though the bill has yet to be completely filled out, the foundation for the event is strong. New York City might not be known as a country music hotbed, but it does have a healthy alt-country scene. This festival is the most promising attempt at mainstream country music to hit the Big Apple in some time.
What are the bands to see at FarmBorough? Well, for starters, outside of the big names, you can see legends like Dwight Yoakam, hit songwriters like Brandy Clark, and rising stars like Jon Pardi on the stages across the concert grounds. There are so many great country musicians and bands on this list, that it's hard to go wrong in deciding who you'd like to see at the first ever FarmBorough.
