13 Reasons Why is an American teen drama web television series based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Jay Asher that revolves around the teenager Clay Jensen’s quest to uncover the story behind his classmate and crush, Hannah, and her decision to end her life. 13 Reasons Why premiered on Netflix on March 31, 2017. When the second season was released, Netflix also released a video featuring the cast cautioning viewers on the themes and topics of the show and provided information on crisis support. The series ended after four seasons, following the characters through to graduation.
