List RulesVote up your favorite family films that were released in the 1960s.
The hills are alive with the sound of '60s family movies. Some of the best family films ever made are here on this list of 1960s family movies. It was a great decade for musicals in particular. From The Sound of Music to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, many of the top family films of the '60s belted out big tunes with aplomb.
It was also decade for Walt Disney, whether you’re talking animation (The Sword and the Stone, Jungle Book, and 101 Dalmatians) or live action (Mary Poppins and The Swiss Family Robinson). And it wasn’t just Disney hitting their prime with family movies in the 1960s, there was also Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas and It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. These '60s family films all continue to entertain children and audiences old enough to have seen them in theaters.
So, which of the films on this list of good 1960s family films were your favorites? Vote up the movies that have stood the test of time and vote down the films that are hopelessly dated. Add any family film gems we have missed and if you're seen them all, rerank to create your own 1960s family movies list!
