List Rules Vote up your favorite alien films that were released in the 1970s.

The 1970s saw the production of some of the best alien films ever made. It seems that every classic alien movie stemmed from this iconic decade - such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Alien, and all of their sequels.

Many of the alien flicks on this list are scary, while others boast adventure and comedy. Some of the scary alien movies on this list include Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Andromeda Strain, and the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Other films are more about the adventure of traveling through space, such as Star Wars and Star Trek. The Rocky Horror Picture Show even uses comedy and sexuality within it's alien universe.

Vote up the best '70s alien movies, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comment section.
