So, here are the very best 1980s Adventure TV series, ranked from best to worst by user votes. From great 80s adventure shows that were Westerns, to other good 1980s adventure shows that were sci-fi, these shows provided something for every demographic of television viewer. A few of the greatest 1980s adventure TV series were even based on books and comics.

What shows will you find on this top 1980s adventure TV shows list? Star Trek returned in the 1980s with the great adventure series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Patrick Stewart starred as Captain Jean-Luc Picard throughout the series seven season run. MacGyver was also one of the most popular adventure series of the 1980s.
