List Rules Vote up the best spinoff series that aired in the '90s

What are the best 1990s spin-offs? Well, here are they are ranked from best to worst by user votes. Spin-offs of course meaning TV shows that are based off of other TV shows. Some of these popular 90s spin-offs follow a central character from the original series, while others merely take place in the same setting as its predecessor, whether that be the same town, the same general universe, or the same intergalactic spaceship. Some top spin-off shows even surpassed the success of their previous installments.

What shows will you find on this best 1990s spin-offs list? Dry humor and cynicism made Daria stand-out among her sophomoric pals in Beavis & Butthead, so much so that she was given her own self-titled show in 1997. Mike Judge, who created the original character, had no involvement with the Daria series. Melrose Place is another good spin-off that aired in the 1990s. Angel, a continuation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was a big hit for the WB when it premiered in 1999, and this list wouldn't be complete without including shows like Frasier, Pinky and the Brain, and Family Matters.
