As long-running cartoons were beginning to dominate the airwaves, new shows that premired in the 2010 decade brought a wider range of genres and styles to the mix. With the expansion of streaming services, 2010s cartoons were able to become even more irreverent than ever, and irreverence is a common theme among the best 2010s animated series. Some of the top animated series are comedies while other good cartoons are action-driven. There are even a few great 2010s animated series that garnered enough acclaim to be made into animated films.
