Spin-offs have always been a huge part of television programming, and with the rise of Peak TV in the 2010s it seems there's more spin-offs than ever. So while the results aren't always perfect, sometimes the choice to recreate what worked the first time produces some great TV shows. These are the best 2010s spin-offs, ranked from best to worst by TV fans all over the world. Some popular spin-offs follow a central character from the original series, while other shows take place in the same setting as its predecessor. Some of these top spin-off shows even surpassed the success of their previous installments.

What are some of the shows on this list? The Colbert Report was a huge hit for Comedy Central following in the footsteps of The Daily Show. The show's host, Stephen Colbert, first appeared on The Daily Show in popular segments like “Even Stephven” with Steve Carell. 90210 is another good spin-off that aired in the 2010s, while others like the CW's entire superhero lineup all spawned from The Arrow. 

The 2015 series, Better Call Saul, gave Breaking Bad fans a chance to get some background on one of their favorite characters, Saul Goodman. Also worth noting on this top 2010s spin-off list include The Cleveland Show, Private Practice, and Teen Mom, and an unexpected spin-off that takes place in the Riverdale universe, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
