List RulesVote up films released in the '60s where the Christmas season is a main theme of the film
The best ‘60s Christmas movies will you make you feel warm and fuzzy all over. Some of the most recognizable faces in Christmas movie history can be found right here, such as Ed Wynn, Sally Dryer, Boris Karloff, and more! If you've been dreaming of a white Christmas, these 1960s Christmas films are definitely for you.
While there were not a ton of Christmas-themed releases in the 1960s, the films that did come out are genre classics. Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang appear in A Charlie Brown Christmas, while Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman star in films of their own. In addition, one of the Christmas season’s best villains, The Grinch, shows up in the cartoon version of Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The film was later remade with Jim Carrey in the title role. And we certainly can’t forget the most recognizable Christmas figure of them all-- Santa Claus! This list features French filmmaker Jean Eustache's take on Good St. Nick in the short film, Santa Claus Has Blue Eyes. It stars top French New Wave icon, Jean-Pierre Léaud.
