List RulesVote up your favorite children films that were released in the 1960s

In the 1960s, musicals were king. On this list of the greatest 1960s kids movies, you will see a number of enduringly popular musical films, fan-favorite animated movies, as well as the work of legedary directors.

So what are the best 1960s kids movies? You might vote up ‘60s family classic
The Sound of Music. The tale of a singing family on the run from the Germans during WWII, this film features numerous songs that have transcended their place on the soundtrack and become American pop culture mainstays. In The Jungle Book, animation and music collide for an unforgettable coming-of-age tale, featuring eight original songs composed just for the movie. Also in the realm of animation, The Pink Panther starring the legendary Peter Sellers appears on this list, as well.

Although more obscure than some other films on this list of the top 1960s kids movies,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is worth a watch. The film was directed by Michael Curtiz, who won an Oscar for directing Casablanca. Who knew! Vote up the best '60s kids movies below, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comment section.
