List RulesVote up your favorite war films that were released in the 1970s.

One of the greatest decades for the genre, here is our ranked list of the best 70s war movies. There are epic battle films (Tora! Tora! Tora!, Midway) and riveting biographies (Patton, MacArthur), but the 70s also began to show a raising of the anti-war voice.

Among the top 70s war movies are the instant classics Apocalypse Now, M*A*S*H, Catch-22, and The Deer Hunter, all films which focus on the horror of war. You’ll also find the effecting drama Coming Home which focuses on the challenge of re-entering society after being at war.

Enjoy this list of great war movies from the '70s, vote up your favorites, and feel free to add any of your favorites that might be missing.
