Shannon Sharpe (born June 26, 1968) is a former American football tight end who played for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL), as well as a former analyst for CBS Sports on its NFL telecasts. He is a TV presenter who co-hosts Skip and Shannon: Undisputed with Skip Bayless.
Sharpe was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 6, 2011. He played 12 seasons for the Broncos (1990–1999, 2002–2003) and two with the Ravens (2000–2001), winning three Super Bowls and finishing his career as the NFL’s all-time leader in receptions (815), receiving yards (10,060) and receiving touchdowns (62) by a tight end, until Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten surpassed all three of those records. He was the first tight end to amass over 10,000 receiving yards. He was named to the First Team of the NFL's All-Decade Team of the 1990s.

Tony Gonzalez

Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) is a former American football tight end. He played college football and college basketball at University of California, Berkeley, and was recognized as a consensus All-American in football. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft, where he played for 12 seasons, until being traded to the Atlanta Falcons, where he played for 5 seasons. Gonzalez, a 14-time Pro Bowl selection, holds the NFL record for total receiving yards (15,127) by a tight end. He also is second all-time in receptions with 1,325, trailing only wide receiver Jerry Rice. Gonzalez was known for his durability and rarely fumbling. During his career, he only missed two games and lost only two fumbles on 1,327 touches. He is currently an analyst on Fox NFL's pregame show. Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August 2019, his first year of eligibility.

Ben Terrence Coates (born August 16, 1969) is a former American football  tight end in the National Football League and former CIAA football coach and former NFL tight ends coach.

Jay Novacek

Jay McKinley  Novacek (born October 24, 1962) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League who played for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1985–1989) and the Dallas Cowboys (1990–1995). Novacek was a five-time Pro Bowler, who was selected to play each year from 1991 through 1995.  He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

Brent Jones

Brent Michael Jones (born February 12, 1963) is a former American football tight end who played almost his entire National Football League (NFL) career with the San Francisco 49ers from 1987 to 1997. He was selected in the fifth round of the 1986 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jones won three Super Bowl rings with the 49ers and was three times named All-Pro (1992–1994) and is a four-time Pro Bowler (1992–1995). He finished his 11 NFL seasons with 417 receptions for 5,195 yards and 33 touchdowns.
Shortly after his playing career ended, Jones became an analyst for The NFL Today. Jones worked for the NFL on CBS from 1998 to 2005. Jones decided to leave CBS Sports during the 2005 NFL season in order to focus on his business in California, Northgate Capital, which he founded with former teammates  Mark Harris and Tommy Vardell. Jones is a former member of the board of directors for San Jose Sports & Entertainment Enterprises, which owns the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League.

Mark Bavaro

Mark Bavaro (born April 28, 1963) is a former American football tight end who played for the New York Giants (1985–1990), Cleveland Browns (1992), and Philadelphia Eagles (1993–1994) in the National Football League (NFL). Bavaro was selected to the Pro Bowl for his performances in the 1986 and 1987 seasons and was a member of the Giants teams that won Super Bowls XXI and XXV.
After an All-American career at the University of Notre Dame, Bavaro was drafted by the Giants in the fourth round (#100 overall) in the 1985 NFL Draft. He quickly emerged as a starter in his rookie season and became renowned during his Giants career for his blocking, toughness, and receiving skills. After a degenerative knee condition forced him to sit out the 1991 season, he returned to play three seasons for the Browns and Eagles before retiring in 1995. Since retiring Bavaro has done work as a pro-life activist. His brother David also played in the NFL for four seasons.

Keith Jackson

Keith Jerome Jackson (born April 19, 1965) is a former professional American football tight end who played for the Philadelphia Eagles (1988–1991), Miami Dolphins (1992–1994), and Green Bay Packers (1995–1996).

Frank Wycheck

Frank John Wycheck (born October 14, 1971) is a former American football tight end and sports talk radio host. He played college football at the University of Maryland. As a professional, Wycheck played 11 seasons for the Washington Redskins and the Tennessee Titans, where he threw the lateral pass in the Music City Miracle.  He has also spent time as a professional wrestler. Wycheck was the color commentator on the Tennessee Titans Radio Network from 2005 to 2016, and from 2004 to 2017, Wycheck co-hosted a morning sports radio show on Nashville radio station WGFX.

Charles Wesley Walls (born March 26, 1966) is a former American football tight end who played 14 seasons in the National Football League.

Mark Chmura

Mark William Chmura (born February 22, 1969), is a former American football tight end, who played his entire career with the Green Bay Packers (1992–1999). During his playing career, his nickname was Chewy. He won Super Bowl XXXI with the Packers against his hometown team, the New England Patriots. Mark is also known for being accused of sexual assault.

Eric Green

Bernard Eric Green (born June 22, 1967 in Savannah, Georgia) is a former professional American football player who was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1st round (21st overall) of the 1990 NFL Draft. Green was a two-time Pro Bowl selection for the Steelers in 1993 and 1994.

Steve Jordan

Steven Russell Jordan (born January 10, 1961) is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings from 1982 to 1994.  He played college football at Brown and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Cameron Jordan, his son, currently plays defensive end for the New Orleans Saints.
Jordan was selected to six consecutive Pro Bowls from 1986 through 1991 and finished his NFL career with 498 receptions for 6,307 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Pete Metzelaars

Peter Henry Metzelaars (born May 24, 1960) is a former American football tight end who played for the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, and Detroit Lions in a sixteen-year career in the National Football League. Following his playing career, Metzelaars became a coach.

Marv Cook

Marvin Eugene "Marv" Cook (born February 24, 1966) is a former professional American football player who was selected by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 1989 NFL Draft. A 6'4", 234-lb. tight end from the University of Iowa, Cook played in seven NFL seasons from 1989 to 1995 for the Patriots, the Chicago Bears, and the St. Louis Rams. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection in 1991 and 1992.
In 1991, Cook was fourth in NFL receptions with 83. His 210 receptions as a Patriot put him 3rd in team history for tight ends behind Rob Gronkowski and Ben Coates.

Rod Rutledge

Rodrick Almar Rutledge (born August 12, 1975) is a professional American football player who played tight end for five seasons for the New England Patriots and Houston Texans of the National Football League. He was the first player to ever catch a pass from Tom Brady, a 6-yard reception on Thanksgiving Day 2000 at the Detroit Lions. Rutledge, known more for his blocking than his pass catching, was a key member of the 2001 Super Bowl winning Patriots.

Rodney Holman

Rodney Holman (born April 20, 1960) is an American former professional American football player who played tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals (1982–1992), and the Detroit Lions (1993–1995).

O. J. Santiago

Otis Jason Santiago (born April 4, 1974) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League for the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns. He also was a member of the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at Kent State University.

Ernie Conwell

Ernest Harold Conwell (born August 17, 1972) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft. He played college football at Washington.
Conwell also played for the New Orleans Saints.  He currently works for the NFL Players Association.

Alfred Sione Pupunu (born October 16, 1969) is a former professional American football tight end who played nine seasons in the National Football League from 1992 to 2000.

Howard Edward Cross Jr. (born August 8, 1967) is a former professional American football tight end in the National Football League.

Chad Lewis

Chad Wayne Lewis (born October 5, 1971) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams.

Keith McKeller

Terrell Keith McKeller (born July 9, 1964 in Birmingham, Alabama) is a former American football tight end for the Buffalo Bills from 1987 to 1993.  McKeller's blocking and pass receiving was a big asset to the team during the early 90's, assisting them to 4 Super Bowl appearances — Super Bowl XXV, Super Bowl XXVI, Super Bowl XXVII, and Super Bowl XXVIII.  His best season was in 1990, when he caught 34 passes for 464 yards and 5 touchdowns.
The Bill's K-Gun offense under Marv Levy was actually named after McKeller (not Jim Kelly, contrary to popular belief), who made it possible with his ability to block and pass catch effectively on different plays during the no huddle.
McKeller finished his 7 NFL seasons with 124 receptions for 1,464 yards and 11 touchdowns.
McKeller played only one year of college football at Jacksonville State University after playing four years of basketball.  He was the power forward on the NCAA Men's Division II Basketball Championship team and led the Gulf South Conference in rebounds for three of his four seasons.
McKeller's son, Darius, is an offensive lineman at the University of South Alabama.

Roland Williams

Roland Lamar Williams (born April 27, 1975), is a retired American football tight end. He played for Syracuse University and in the National Football League.
Roland Williams was born in Rochester, New York and grew up in a challenging neighborhood. Roland attended Syracuse University and became the first person in his immediate family to graduate from a four-year college.
Roland Williams was selected in the 1998 National Football League Draft by the Saint Louis Rams and played professionally for eight years at the tight end position. Highlights include the 2002 American Football Conference Championship and most notably the St. Louis Rams' Super Bowl XXXIV Championship in which Williams made one reception for a gain of nine yards.
Following his stint with the Rams, Roland played three years for the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders won the American Football Conference Championship in the 2002-2003 season. In 2003, Roland played one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2004, Roland returned to play another season with the Oakland Raiders and then the subsequent season with the St. Louis Rams before a career ending knee injury sidelined him in 2006.
Roland was nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for philanthropy and citizenship.  In 2015, Roland started the Champion Academy Extreme Mentoring & Empowerment Initiative, a mentoring program in his hometown of Rochester, New York to help at-risk middle and high school students improve as students and citizens.Since his retirement as a player, Roland Williams has worked as a television/radio sports analyst and keynote speaker.  As a sports analyst for more than a decade, Roland has appeared on media outlets including CBS Sports Network, ESPN, MTV, NBC, NBC Sports Network, Nickelodeon, NFL Network, CNBC, Fox, Fox Sports Net, CBS and ABC. He has contributed on radio, online and in print publications.  In 2008, he coached a high school student aiming to become a football player on the MTV show "Made."

Jamie Asher

James Allen Asher (born October 31, 1972) is a former American football tight end who played for the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League  He played high school football at Warren Central High School in Indianapolis. He played college football at the University of Louisville and was drafted in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL Draft with the 137th overall pick.
