Marcelina may be a 1,000-year-old vampire queen, but that doesn't mean she can't rock out on the bass. Although she started out as a villain, initially evicting Finn and Jake from their home, she soon became a close ally. She's shared in many of their adventures over the seasons, eventually receiving her own miniseries in season seven. Marcelina first appeared in "Evicted!" where she claimed she owned their tree before they got there, thanking them for keeping it warm. While she started off threatening and mysterious, fans were anxious to learn more of her backstory. She had a centuries-long on-again/off-again relationship with Princess Bubblegum (culminating with a kiss in the series finale), and she even knew the Ice King before he transformed into the Ice King. She's helped numerous characters, proving not all vampires are bad. She's also known for some of the most memorable and heart-breaking songs, such as "Remember You" and "Fry Song."

    After she is approached by the Ice King to help him write a song Marceline struggles emotionally with his deteriorating mental condition, remembering their time together that he has forgotten. While attempting to help him remember, Marceline finds a note from the Ice King before he transformed, when she called him "Simon."

    Set 1,000 years in the future, BMO retells the tale of Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, Marceline, and a slew of other heroes prepare for the Gum War. Marceline tries to convince PB to avoid conflict since she was involved in the Mushroom War, but PB is resolute. Together, they must fight the hideous beast formed from Gumbald's army. When PB is in great danger, Marceline reverts to her monstrous vampire form and destroys the creature.

The sunlight is just about to come over her, and she yells out to Finn to burn her diaries.
