List Rules Any beer made by the Allagash Brewing Company
List of all of the beers from the Allagash Brewing Company to determine what the best beer is. The list is comprised of the year round beers, specialty beers, tribute series beer, limited edition beers, coolship and draft only beers that come from the Allagash Brewing Company. The list asks the question, “What is the best beer from the Allagash Brewing Company?” with choices ranging from drafts, such as Thing 1 or Smoke and Beards to year round beers, such as the first beer, Allagash White, or later creations like Allagash Four. The list has all of the beer from the brewery and should be voted on to determine the best beer. Each choice has the beer’s percentage of alcohol next to its name.
The Allagash Brewing Company started in Portland, Maine, in 1995 as an original Belgian style brewery , which were hard to find, while German and British beers were prominent throughout the country. The founder of the company, Rob Tod, realized this gap in craft beer and made his own, with the first being modeled after “white” Belgium beers that use wheat instead of barley and use Curacao orange peel and coriander with a yeast strain.
