What are the best original series on Amazon? Amazon has become a major player in the original content game recently, creating unique one-hour and half-hour shows, as well as children's programming. Not only have Amazon original shows started cultural conversations, they've won Golden Globes and earned Emmy nominations. As the library of these shows on Amazon Instant Video grows, you're going to need a list to keep track of them all.

Creatively, Amazon originals take risks. From Transparent's progressive family comedy and drama to Bosch's deeper, darker police procedural, these series put fresh spins on TV tropes. Original Amazon shows have proven equal of any other television out there, and some of these original Amazon Prime shows are even better than much of what's out on network and cable TV today!
