It's not everyday you get to sit down and watch an anime about the spawn of Satan, but Beelzebub is not your everyday anime. A high school delinquent raising the son of the Demon Lord is such a crazy premise, yet, the anime knows exactly how to make it work. Delivering amusing slapstick comedy and top-notch action, along with some touching moments between Tatsumi Oga and Baby Be'el, Beelzebub was a great demon anime.

Beelzebub was an incredibly fun ride, but where do anime fans go for another round? Not to worry. As hard as it may seem, there are actually more anime like Beelzebub waiting to be binge-watched. Some similar anime play around with the underworld folklore for amusing results, while others explore other unlikely angles of fatherhood with mismatched characters. If you need another anime that's similar to Beelzebub, then give these a try.

  • The Devil is a Part-Timer! is another comedic anime like Beelzebub that takes something commonly seen as mundane and flips it on top of its head. In Beelzebub, it was babysitting a demon. For The Devil is a Part-Timer!, it's a demon working at a fast-food restaurant. A former demon lord is trying to get back to his own time period, but takes his minimal-wage job in the modern world too seriously.

    Blood Lad

Blood Lad shares the same crazy attitude as Beelzebub when it comes to mocking the underworld, but takes it up a couple of notches. Staz Charlie Blood, a vampire otaku, is on a quest to resurrect his human friend named Fuyumi Yan, who wandered into the Demon World by mistake, was suddenly killed and became a ghost. A hilarious and action-packed take on the undead.

  • The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. follows up on the absurdity of Beelzebub with a crazy premise of its own. Kusuo Saiki is one of the strongest psychics in the world, but would give it all up just to have one normal day. Sadly, his amazing powers always attract the strangest of characters into his daily life. If you loved the slapstick humor of Beelzebub, then you're gonna love The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.

One anime that's quite similar to the silliness of Beelzebub, while also delivering on the action and drama is Gintama. Gintama's story of feudal Japanese warriors banding together to overthrow their alien overloads is as nutty as raising the infant child of the devil. There's also lots of hilarious tributes to famous shonen anime, like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto.

    Reborn!

The strange, yet, entertaining relationship between Tatsumi Oga and Baby Be'el in Beelzebub is quite similar to the relationship between Tsunayoshi Sawada and Reborn in Reborn! In Reborn!, a baby hitman named Reborn is trying to teach the clumsy Tsunayoshi how to be a proper gangster, so he can take over as mob boss for the Vongola family. It's a hilarious dynamic in a show filled with great action and offbeat characters.

Much like Beelzebub, Hinamatsuri is also about a diligent character taking on the role of daddy to a supernatural child. Whereas Beelzebub dealt with demons, Hinamatsuri has aliens in the form of a young girl named Hina. She uses her out-of-this-world powers to help her yakuza father figure, Yoshifumi Nitta, climb up the criminal ladder. A sweet deal for Nitta, if you don't factor in the possibility of Hina going berserk and destroying the city, if she's ever unable to flaunt her powers. A wildly funny, yet surprisingly touching, slice-of-life from outer space.
