The 20 Greatest 'Attack On Titan' Ships, Ranked

At a convention in Germany, Attack on Titan producer George Wada confirmed that Ymir and Historia were definitely dating. While it's not the only ship for both characters, it's the one backed up by canon - well, that and the ship between Historia and her farmer baby daddy.

The two girls form a powerful connection while working in the Survey Corps. Both of them experienced a combination of marginalization and excessive adoration that made it hard for them to claim their own identities and prioritize their own survival. Because they see their own struggles in each other, they're able to form a strong emotional bond. Both of them would do anything to protect the other, and love each other desperately. 

When Niccolo and Sasha first meet, Niccolo is automatically prejudiced against Sasha thanks to how he was taught to view Eldians while growing up in Marley. But he's moved by how much she loves and appreciates his cooking. He realizes that his true purpose doesn't lie in warfare, but in making people happy and bringing them together through food. Because she had such a massive impact on his life, he wanted to destroy Gabi when he found out that she was responsible for her demise, even though Gabi was his comrade. 

It's not clear whether Niccolo's feelings for Sasha are canonically romantic, or if Sasha reciprocated those feelings - but they certainly cared about each other, which is all the fandom needs to get rolling. 

Falco is clearly in love with Gabi. Not only did he literally tell her as much, he's been showing it since the two were introduced. He repeatedly protects her in battle at cost to his own safety, and even tried to inherit the Armored Titan so that she wouldn't have to do it and shorten her lifespan. So far, Gabi hasn't reciprocated his feelings, but it makes a lot of sense that fans would want to see their relationship develop that way. 

There's no denying that Eren and Mikasa are close. Eren saved Mikasa's life when traffickers invaded her home and destroyed her parents, and they spent years together in Eren's family home. During Survey Corps activities, Mikasa dedicated most of her energy to protecting Eren, and is often seen wearing a red scarf that he gave her.

Lately, their connection has been tarnished thanks to Eren's political goals and Mikasa being unsure about whether her love for him stems from their personality or from the fact that she has Ackerman blood. We won't get into manga spoilers, but there's a lot of evidence that points to their romantic relationship.

Armin x Annie is one of the most popular ships in the fandom, likely because it's heavily supported by canon. Before Annie's status as the Female Titan is revealed, the two of them repeatedly compliment one another and show each other special attention. After the reveal, Armin still shows a desire to understand where Annie was coming from. When he inherits the Colossal Titan, he's able to see the life circumstances that led her to that point, and showed sympathy for her. While she was crystalized, Armin repeatedly visited her and spoke with her, even though it got in the way of dealing with what was going on around him. 

Later on, Annie reveals how grateful she is towards Armin for talking to her during all those years. This leads to them acknowledging their romantic feelings for one another, but with the future of humanity at stake due to the Rumbling, there isn't time to sort out their relationship.

Because we only get to meet Pieck and Porco in their human forms in the final season of the series, this ship hasn't has quite as much time to gain popularity as some of the other ships on this list. Despite that, it crops up fairly frequently within the fandom. The fact that they've been working together for a long time and share an implicit sense of trust and respect is part of it. Also, individual moments like when Porco comments on Pieck walking around on all fours or Porco seeming like he might be jealous when Pieck is hugged by someone else contribute to the overall ship.
