Black Lightning is a superhero television drama based on the DC Comics character of the same name created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden. Originally in development at Fox, who passed on the pilot, Black Lightning premiered on The CW on January 16, 2018. Although initially this CW superhero show was not intended to be part of the Arrowverse, the "Crisis On Infinite Earths" crossover will include cast members from the series, tying it into the greater CW DC universe.

In the Season 2 finale, Lynn goes head to head with Dr. Jace once and for all. Meanwhile, Gambi risks his life to save Jennifer. Lastly, Tobias makes a major move to cripple Freeland and kill Black Lightning, requiring the superhero family to step up like never before.

Season 2, Episode 6
Black Lightning and Thunder return to South Freeland in an attempt to figure out what is going on. When they arrive, they are directed to a nearby wood where they are surrounded by a clan of mixed-race moonshiners called the Perdi. Meanwhile, Lynn, feeling tremendous guilt, falls into a deep depression. Lastly, Tobias finds that his plan is falling apart.

As suspicions grow that Jefferson Pierce is Black Lightning, the ASA arranges to have him arrested. Lynn seeks help from Detecitve Henderson. Meanwhile, as Jefferson is in custody, Gambi and Anissa work together to show Black Lightning is still running around the streets of Freeland.

But Anissa secretly defies Odell in her alter ego as Blackbird with the able tactical and technical support of Gambi.

Black Lightning attempts to rescue several long-missing children reveals a secret he did not anticipate, and its resulting connections. Gambi struggles to stay strong while in a compromising position. Jefferson begins to view things differently.
