It may not be the most civilized means of self-defense in the galaxy, but a powerful blaster will certainly do in a pinch as many characters in the Star Wars universe have proved time and time again. Granted, not every blaster in the Star Wars universe is as reliable as Han's trusty sidearm, and if the Stormtrooper's aim is any indication, there's a wide range of possibilities when it comes to firepower that's a bit cruder and inelegant as a lightsaber. But just like Han Solo said, "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid."

With so many blasters, energy weapons, pistols, rifles, and guns introduced in the films, cartoons, comic books, and video games, it isn't easy finding the 20 most reliable, but this list aims to do exactly that! Scroll through and find the blaster you think worked best for the good guys (or bad guys) and don't forget to vote up your favorites to see which Star Wars blaster rises to the top of the list!

Han's Blaster is probably one of the most recognizable in all of Star Wars canon. It is, after all, what he used to put Greedo down since, Han Shot First!

It is designed off of the real Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" pistol but has a few embelishments making it look far more sci-fi than a real deal.

Han carried different versions of the blaster throughout the original trilogy, but they were all altered versions of the same BlasTech DL-44. The differences were mostly aesthetic, and dealt with color of the muzzle and the length of the scope.

The EE-3 Blaster was modeled after the E-11, but featured a smaller handle making it easier to use one-handed. It also featured a long circular barrel and an optional scope.

The weapon used by Boba Fett in the Star Wars saga was based on the Webley & Scott № 1 Mark "I" Flare Gun, which was used by the British during World War I.

The EE-3 was capable of discharging a single blast, or it could fire three-round bursts. In most depictions throughout the saga, it has been used almost exclusively by bounty hunters.

The BlasTech A280-CFE (Covert Field Edition) Blaster Rifle was used primarily by the Alliance in their battle to restore the Republic. It was highly modifiable and could be used as a pistol, or it could be reconfigured into an assault or long range rifle.

The A280-CFE was used by Captain Cassian Andor during the Battle on Jedha, the Battle of Scarif, and the mission to Eadu.

E-11 Blaster Rifle is listed (or ranked) 4 on the list The Best Blasters in the 'Star Wars' Saga, Ranked

The E-11 Blaster Rifle was the standard-issue to Imperial Stormtroopers seen throughout the original trilogy. It was based on the DC-15A blaster used during the Clone Wars, which was carried by Clone Troopers.

Despite the fact that Stormtroopers seem incapable of hitting anything they aim at, the E-11 is a versatile blaster capable of firing on either lethal, stun, or sting settings. It had an extensive range, folding three-position stock, and a telescopic range-finding sight. It could be used as either a pistol or rifle, and could be modified in several ways.

The E-11 used a standard power cell capable of firing 200 shots. If loaded with a plasma cartridge, the weapon's capacity could be increased to 500 shots. The E-11 was based on the British Sterling L2A3.
