List of the best bromance movies, ranked by fans. These films - usually funny, often heartwarming - chronicle the close relationships between lead male characters. Like many of their female counterparts in the best chick flicks, these bros and dudes have strong bonds that are tested, broken, and reformed even stronger. This list includes some of the greatest guy movies of all time and even a few tearjerking movies that make men cry (but not many).
Over the past decade, bromance films have taken off, becoming more popular and mainstream than ever before. A lot of the actors in these films overlap, at least amongst the younger crew. Some of the most popular comedic actors like Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel and Jonah Hill have all starred in these movies. These movies aren't limited to today's stars. A lot of the movies on this list features Saturday Night Live alumni like Mike Myers, Chris Farley, Dana Carvey and David Spade took part in bromance films, even starring with one another in them. Bromance is the only thing that the News 4 News Team and the fellas in Wolfpack that makes them alike. Their antics may be very different, but the characters do nearly everything together as a team.
Bromance movies aren't restricted to comedies. There are plenty of action movies that involve guys milling about. Point Break, Rush Hour and 48 Hours are examples. Additionally, there are plenty of dramas that are centered around a bromance, like Andy and Red's in Shawshank Redemption as the prime example.
Despite the different bromance movie genres, the common thread between these films is that its plot line and heart is centered around the relationship of the main male characters. s, without a romantic interest hovering over or around the central plot points, then it's a bromance.
All of these top bromance movies can be ranked and re-ranked to your liking. If you don't see a movie that fits the list, you can add it as well. As long as the movie's plot is centered around the exploits of at least two male character, it qualifies as a bromance.
