Their stories are known around the globe, with people constantly telling and retelling their timeless tales. Though not all written as children's tales originally, as many involved morbid, grim details, the Brothers Grimm stories are now known as some of the best children's stories to tell. During the 19th Century, German scholars storytellers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm published numerous books, many of which were bits of folklore that had already been passed through many generations. Many of the folk tales known as Grimms' Fairy Tales have since been adapted into wildly popular children's films, including Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Frog Prince, and Rapunzel.
